WHO WE ARE
At SOS Colombia, we are a nonprofit organization based in Florida, founded by a group of individuals committed to the well-being of the most vulnerable communities in Colombia. We were born out of a genuine desire to reach out to those facing difficult living conditions, especially children, the elderly, and low-income families.
Our work is guided by the values of solidarity, respect, and human dignity. We are driven by the deep belief that love for others can be transformed into concrete actions that change lives. We operate thanks to family commitment, the generous support of friends, and a network of volunteers who selflessly join this cause to make every delivery possible.
SOS Colombia does not receive external funding and does not seek profit. All logistical and transportation costs are covered by the organization itself, allowing us to ensure that every donation goes directly to those who need it most.
Why We Do It
At SOS Colombia, our mission is to bring hope, relief, and dignity to vulnerable communities across the country. We are driven by a deep desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those who have been overlooked or forgotten, offering tangible help that improves their well-being.
Each year, we carry out three solidarity campaigns:
-
The Christmas Campaign, where we collect new, non-violent toys for children living in poverty in cities and towns like Cali, Medellín, Bogotá, Fusagasugá, Chía, and Subachoque. A single gift can brighten a child’s day and plant a seed of joy and hope.
-
The Campaign for the Elderly, focused on collecting essential items such as walkers, wheelchairs, canes, crutches, and adult diapers for seniors living in precarious conditions. This support restores mobility, comfort, and dignity.
-
The Used Clothing Campaign, through which we distribute gently used clothing to children and adults who lack the basics to dress appropriately for daily life.
We do not accept war-related toys or shoes, as we are committed to promoting a culture of peace and respect. We believe in the power of small actions, in the strength of community, and in the real possibility of making a difference when we work together with love and purpose.
